Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of Sam’s List, provided by Why&Key LLC, a Montana limited liability company in the United States. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms and any applicable App Store terms.

Using the app

Sam’s List is a personal tool for organizing todos and manually recording spending. You may use it only in compliance with applicable law and must not misuse, reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the app or its services.

Your content and device

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you add and for maintaining access to your device and Apple account. The app is local-first; Why&Key cannot retrieve, restore, or access your local content on your behalf.

Spending information

Spending entries are manual personal records only. Sam’s List is not a bank, payment service, financial adviser, tax adviser, or bookkeeping service. Do not rely on the app as the sole source for financial, tax, legal, or investment decisions.

Optional Apple services

Features that use iCloud, Apple Reminders, Apple Calendar, notifications, Siri, or Shortcuts depend on your device settings and Apple services. Their availability and use are also subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.

Premium

Premium is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. Pricing, payment, refunds, and purchase restoration are handled according to the App Store terms and your Apple account. Premium features may evolve over time; a purchase does not guarantee every future feature unless we expressly say so.

Availability and updates

We work to keep Sam’s List reliable, but the app is provided on an ‘as available’ basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or compatibility with every device, operating-system version, or Apple service. We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features.

Intellectual property and liability

Sam’s List, its design, and its software are owned by Why&Key LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app, not ownership of the software.

To the extent permitted by law, Why&Key LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law, changes, and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise. We may update these terms; the current version will appear in the app and on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

For questions about these terms or the app, contact Why&Key LLC at contact@whyandkei.com.
